Six Simple Steps

Our admissions process is designed to ensure the best fit for your child and our community.

Complete the online application at forms.rediker.com/mdqacademy — create an account for each child.

Pay the Fee

A $50 non-refundable application fee is required for each application.

Upload Documents

Parent ID, student photo, previous school records, and the signed Release of Records form.

Application Review

Our admissions team verifies that your application is complete.

Testing & Interview

Students complete a placement assessment and families meet with our admissions team.

Decision

Families receive an acceptance or non-acceptance notification, then complete enrollment.

Preference is given to siblings of current students and children of employees. Submitting an application does not guarantee enrollment.

  • Immunization records and a current physical from your pediatrician
  • Previous school records, elementary transcript, and most recent report card (K and up)

Early education / Montessori students must be potty-trained. Families of students in Kindergarten and up should also register with their home school district to request transportation and textbooks.

Zakat-Based Assistance

High-quality Islamic education should be within every family's reach.

  • Sponsored by Masjid Darul Qur'an from its Zakat Fund
  • Students must be enrolled at MDQ Academy for at least one school year to qualify
  • Applications must be renewed every school year with the most recent documents
  • Funds are distributed based on availability and demonstrated need
  • No discounts can be given without a complete application on file
  • Deadlines fall at the beginning of summer — contact the office for this year's date

Common questions from prospective families.

What grades are currently accepting applications?

We are now accepting 2026–2027 applications for Pre-K through Grade 2. Other grades are accepted on a space-available basis — contact admissions for availability.

Is there an application fee?

Yes. A $50 non-refundable application fee is required for each application. Please create a separate account for each child when applying online.

When is the deadline?

Our primary enrollment deadline is the end of June. After that, applications continue to be accepted on a space-available basis. Preference is given to siblings of current students and children of employees.

Is financial aid available?

Yes. Masjid Darul Qur'an sponsors MDQ Academy's Financial Aid program from its Zakat Fund. Students must have been enrolled for at least one school year to qualify, and applications must be renewed every year. Email financialaid@mdqacademy.org for details.

Does submitting an application guarantee a seat?

No. Submission of an application does not guarantee enrollment, acceptance, or registration. Families are notified of a decision after testing and the family interview.

Are there requirements for our youngest students?

All children entering our Montessori / early education programs must be potty-trained. Families of students in Kindergarten and up should also register with their home school district to request transportation and books.
