A Complete Education
Our curriculum includes all core subjects with NY State Common Core directives, plus Arabic, Quran, and Islamic Studies as separate independent subjects.
We are committed to instilling Islamic values, habits, attitudes, ethical standards, patience, and tolerance — the characteristics of a good Muslim.
Academics
General Curriculum
Rigorous NY State-aligned subjects enriched with hands-on learning.
English Language Arts
NY State ELA curriculum with Listening & Learning, Skills, and Guided Reading strands for Pre-K–12.
Mathematics
Balanced combination of procedure and understanding following NY State Math Curriculum for all grades.
Science
Hands-on, minds-on STEM approach. Elementary uses STEM Scope; middle and high school emphasize discovery learning.
Social Studies
US and NY history, world history, geography, economics, civics, citizenship, and government.
Foreign Language
Language immersion programs offering exposure to a variety of different languages beyond Arabic.
Computer Lab
Elementary keyboarding and internet skills; middle and high school tackle challenging programming projects.
Art
Grade-based art curriculum enhancing creative thinking, expression, and visual literacy.
Home Economics
Nutrition, home management, and stitching — practical life skills for middle school students.
Physical Education
Full PE program with afterschool sports via Southasian Sports and Lil Athlete Sports professional coaches.

Arabic, Quran, and Islamic Studies — the heart of an MDQ education.
Arabic
Pre-K through KG learn Arabic based on the Othman Mus-Haf. Grades 1+ follow NY State second-language standards.
Quran
Tajweed with state-of-the-art technology. Students memorize half a Juzz per year from 1st grade onward.
Islamic Studies
Authentic Ahadeeth and Ibadaat practices. Parents guide Madhab-related Fiqh at home.
Parental Partnership in Quran
Parental involvement is strongly effective in a child's daily Quranic recitation and memorization. We recommend at least 30 minutes of daily recitation, 365 days a year.
